Kempinski Ambience Hotel is the latest hospitality project designed by , soon to be opened near New Delhi, India (in July, 2012). We received a press release describing the project: HBA brings a fresh approach to design in the region with contemporary transitional fashions accented with subtle touches of re-interpreted Indian elements.Traditional patterns and customary Indian architectural details are spread throughout the property and the graphic elements of the main exterior façade are incorporated within the interior features of the hotel to create a unifying thread throughout the space. In order to create a space for the most sophisticated travelers that would also meet the needs of the Kempinski Ambience business clientèle.
HBA used a palette that is both elegant and calm, relying on warm beiges and browns that are accented by splashes of rich Indian color tones including indigo blue, saffron yellow and vibrant reds.Cultural references are underlined by an art collection comprised of works by contemporary Indian artists, which in turn act as a highlight of the interior elements. The hotel will feature 480 rooms and suites, four restaurants and a bar, and state-of-the-art conference and banqueting facilities, including a Grand Ballroom accommodating up to 5,000 people, making it the ideal destination for leisure and MICE travelers alike. The property also boasts an extensive spa and fitness center with a sauna and hammam and two swimming pools. How would you comment on its overall design?
