Small yet extremely functional, this one-room Scandinavian apartment is an inspiring design gem. Discovered on the website of Swedish real estate broker/designer , the 441-square-foot crib is located in Linnéstaden, one of Gothenburg’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
As you enter, you are greeted by a bright hallway with white walls and light wooden flooring. To the right is the fully equipped kitchen, which connects with a large balcony. Just being able to sit outside on the terrace is an everyday luxury, difficult to find in a big city.
The kitchen features a dining table that seats up to four people. A gray mosaic tile backsplash subtly contrasts with the white cabinetry. Everything is nicely lit by downlights.
A 10-foot ceiling, elegant turn-of-the-century details and two large windows are just some of the elements that make the living room spectacular. Decorating here was kept to a minimum, redirecting attention to the bohemian Swedish landscape outdoors.
The unconventional bedroom niche is separated from the living area by a short wall to increase privacy and make the most of a small apartment. See any other ideas you find interesting? Let us know in the comments below!
